Tesla Supercharger Türkiye prices increased

Ana sayfa / News

Tesla has updated its unit prices at Tesla Superchargers, its fast charging stations in Turkey. With the latest regulation, the per kilowatt-hour (kWh) fee for Tesla vehicle owners has increased from 7.50 TL to 8.50 TL. This increase represents a cost increase of approximately 13% for Tesla users.

The price increase doesn’t just affect Tesla owners. Tesla, which has opened its Supercharger network to other brands of electric vehicles, has also increased the fee for these users from 9.50 TL to 10.60 TL. The increase for this group is calculated as approximately 12%.

The company continues its “idle fee” policy, which encourages efficient use of charging stations. Drivers who do not remove their vehicles from the station after charging are completed will continue to pay 20.00 TL per minute.

These price increases come at a time when electric vehicle use is becoming more widespread in Turkey. It’s been noted that this price increase, particularly for the Supercharger network, which plays a critical role on long journeys, could cause users to reconsider their charging habits.

Industry experts emphasize that while the price increase may not be a significant deterrent in the short term, the increased costs will become a significant expense for users who don’t have access to charging at home or at work. In the increasingly competitive charging station market, it’s questionable whether users will turn to alternative charging network operators.

Tesla’s move is seen as a reflection of rising global energy costs and local operational expenses. As the electric vehicle ecosystem grows, the future trend of charging costs will be closely monitored by both consumers and industry players.
